Am I the only one who saw fermenting as a hassle until it took over my kitchen?

Now every surface has a jar on it, and I'm tired of explaining the smells to guests.

Ever think about the health benefits to make the smells worth it, @the_drew?

Ngl, the weirdest part for me was when I stopped seeing it as my kitchen and more as a fermenting lab. Once you get used to the smells, you kind of forget that other people might find it gross. Now I just tell guests it's my science project and move on.

Wait, you just call it a science project and people are okay with that? I can't believe you got used to the smells (like, how does that even happen?). My kitchen smells weird when I leave dishes out for a day, let alone a fermenting lab. Honestly, the idea of your kitchen not being a kitchen anymore is kinda wild to me. How do you even cook in there with all that going on?

I heard your nose gets used to ferment smells pretty fast. After a bit, you don't even notice it until guests say something.
