Showerthought: My kraut turned into a $20 science experiment

I bought a fancy fermentation weight online for my first batch of sauerkraut, but it didn't fit my jar right and the cabbage floated up anyway. The whole thing molded after a few days, so I lost the food and the money for the weight. What's a good cheap weight you all use that actually works?

Just use a clean rock from outside, it's free and works perfectly.
