A veteran caster told me my pouring angle was too steep for the big gear mold
He said I was getting turbulence and air pockets, so I tried a more shallow pour over the edge of the cup. The castings came out much cleaner with fewer voids. Do you think a controlled pour speed matters more than the angle, or is it a mix of both?

Wait, a veteran caster actually gave you advice? Those guys never talk.

It catches them off guard if you ask about a specific call they made, not just general tips. I once asked why they didn't pause after a big team fight, and that got a whole conversation started. They're more likely to engage if you show you paid real attention to their work.

Last year at the finals, I asked a caster why they kept calling the top laner "the rock" during a messy baron play. Tbh his face went blank for a solid five seconds before he launched into this whole story about inside jokes with the production crew. Honestly, it was way better than just asking for generic advice. They really do light up when you notice the weird little details.
