A magician's hat mishap taught me to love unposed street moments

I always felt bad capturing people without asking, saw it as rude. But last week, I watched a magician in the park try to pull a rabbit from his hat. He messed up and the hat flew onto a dog's head. Everyone laughed, even the magician. I got a photo of the dog with the hat and his shocked look. That image caught a genuine, joyful moment no setup could. Now I hunt for those sudden, funny scenes instead of hesitating, and it has changed how I approach street photography for the better.

But is it really that deep though?

Sometimes I make mountains out of molehills, so everything seems deep to me. My brain turns a simple meme into a whole CRISIS of meaning. I once spent an hour thinking about a cereal commercial, so my depth meter is BROKEN. Claire might be onto something with keeping it light.

Yeah, my brain does that too with random stuff like zoning out during a crime show intro. Maybe clairetaylor has the right idea about it not always being that deep.

Honestly, stepping back helped me.
